关于commencement的一些感想

1. 第二年去做marshall，一个volunteer性质的工作。去年去是因为没有参加过美国的毕业典礼，想去感受一下；今年去是因为好多同学毕业，想去祝贺一下。

2. 个人认为，一个好的commencement有两个地方需要出彩：一是guest speaker，二是颁证书的时候。

3. 我非常喜欢dean念每个毕业生的名字的时候，家长和朋友欢呼的时刻。

4. 作为国际学生，我们的家人亲戚本来就不在这里，加上能来参加的朋友又少，每次dean念完名字，欢呼声了了，我特别伤感。

5. 我是一个积极参加各种活动的学生，戏里和院里的faculty和staff认识不少，他们说国际学生这么active的不多，我有种恨铁不成钢的感觉。

6. 当然，我不能强迫别的留学生也很active，但是从ISA到ATS，我都在一直为国际学生争取权利，并想向西北这些不是很open的地方的人们证明留学生，特别是中国留学生不是什么活动也不参加的。

7. 但有时候忙着忙着就觉得自己是不是成了一个小丑。

8. 人也有累的时候，一天14个小时连轴转下来，回家连脱裤子都觉得累，然后觉得为什么就没人能理解。

9. 作为minority，想要出头必须付出很多，很多，很多。

10. 机会是给准备好的人的，所以我还是乐观的。

人生真是充满惊喜！今天的两个收获真的是让自己很开心：1. 谈妥实习工资并签了协议 2. 拿到学生员工杰出贡献奖

下午把实习的工资谈妥了，尽比预计的少很多，但是能找到实习我已经很满足了，况且还能拿学分。我向来都是知足派，有一点收获我就会感激不尽，所以真的会好好珍惜这次实习机会。见完老板回家后，打开邮箱，发现了第二个惊喜－－一封获奖信，我被评为了2010－2011年度Outstanding Student Employee Award！Louise的保密工作做的真是好啊，真的是给我了一个大大的惊喜！根据10％的评奖原则，我估计我是Department of Applied Economics里唯一的一个吧。想想自己这两年的努力，天道酬勤。

回家路上从桥上拍的，这就是我今天的心情－－波涛澎湃啊

Drop Dead Diva, a new soap show talking about an inspiring model, Deb, who died in a car accident but got back to human life in a plus-sized woman’s body, Jean’s.

In America, a country filled with women whose average size is 14 (it won’t be hard for me get there), this is a pretty inspiring show. BUT, fatty can’t beat skinny!!! This is the rule. Fatty can be smart, can be nice, can be funny, but they can never fit in those skinny and shining dresses!!!

It’s not me that who is shallow, it’s the boys.

"I’ll always love you no matter what." That’s a wish, just a wish.

I can’t type Chinese, my laptop is dead I think.

Do you know what I want? Or you just pretend you don’t know?

I saw someone’s wedding photos today. I feel western guys are more into their family once married than eastern guys.

Maybe my feeling is wrong, but I just love to listen to you talking, say nothing myself and give you a hand when you need me.

Life gotta move on.

I used to be addicted to msn space, when I was in high school.

I kept updating every week, looking forward to friends’ comments and then responsed them.

I don’t know since when, I started to stop doing that. I updated less often and my friends who used to use msn space also spent less time on it.

I thought it was growing up.

I thought we all found the stuff we should focus on.

And, I thought it was a good thing.

Until recently, I saw YV’s blog again, and I feel I come back to that time again.

YV is one of my close friends, a girl who had been my classmate for 2 years and relationship consultant for life long.

I still remeber the first time I saw her and I disliked her.

She came into classroom with slippers and a huge Hello-Kitty handbag.

"Too girlish!" I thougt, and I would never think about being friend with her.

I can’t remeber how things changed. What I can remeber is we shared magazines, we talked about shopping & movies, we gossiped cute guys together all the time.

YV is not super pretty, but definitely cute. She had never been in a relationship before her current relationship (YV, don’t punch me, because I thought the one with ZZ doesn’t account). She seemed a little desperate and mumbled around me all the time. (don’t punch me, again.) It’s not like nobody liked her, it’s just the ones who liked her she didn’t like and the ones she liked didn’t like her.

In senior year, she planed to go to Australia for college, so left our class to she finally made it.

I still remeber the days when she first there, she sent me cute guys photos that she had a crash on and mumbled again, "when can I get a bf?"

Then BT showed up, a guy who pursued her for a long time. I know she was not into him at first but I didn’t know what skill he used, he just got her, haha.(BT, dont puch me~)

TBH, I don’t know much about BT so I can’t say much and avoid upappropriate judgement, lol. But by the current situation, it seems like they guys can’t find another one more fit for each other.

YV, I’m so happy for you, really. I have witnessed how things went in the 6 years.

YV, I’m so happy for you, really. I have seen you find your Mr. Right.

YV, I’m so happy for you, really. I finally see fairy-tale-style happiness right on my friend.

YV, I’m so happy for you, from the bottom of my heart. I wish you all the love and happiness and hope you and BT can have a magic wedding soon and I’m also looking forward to seeing your babies, lol.

I don’t know why I wrote this. I just feel so happy for my friend after reading her blog.

I’m not good at telling the story of my own, but I can show my feelings in others’ stories, if you can seem them.

Live everyday like it is the last day you have in the world

刚看了JT分享的豆瓣上那篇《New York, I Love You—不是影评》。

写得真好，朴实，而且真实。

我小时候是个有“远大志向”的姑娘，向往大城市的生活，整天嚷着要去上海、香港。

长大了却好像失去了志向，不再迷恋那些灯红酒绿，开始向往自然山水。

寒假去纽约的时候，心里一点激动的感觉都没有，不知是斗志丧失，还是因为她就在我眼前所以没了新鲜感。

看着地铁里说各种语言的人来来往往，步伐紧凑，没有人会停下来问你声好，连哥伦比亚大学图书馆的保安都一副爱理不理很臭屁的态度。我就觉得这不是我喜欢的城市。回到明州的那天，我把状态改成 I’m back in lovely MN.

“我错过911之前的纽约，我还错过很多很多事，我以为我还年轻，我以为还有机会，我以为世界会等着我，我以为爱我的男人会永远钟情于我…..比如2000年张国荣的上海演唱会，我好不容易让哥哥给我买到了票，也是被老师拉着陪他去外地开会。他说，张国荣的演唱会你以后还有机会去听啊，他在全世界都开演唱会，你将来说不定还去香港，去加拿大听他的演唱会，你这个小姑娘，将来一定会走得远远的，你的世界大着呢，机会多着呢…..我就把票转让掉了，到了2003年4月1日夜里，我自然后悔死了。”

每个人一生中都会错过许多东西。会埋怨，会抱怨。可静下来想想，还是自己把机会给放走了。要怨也只能怨自己。

有时候我就想，是不是生活在竞争不那么激烈的地方，“错过”就会少一些，可是，

2009 Spring，我以为他会觉察出什么，所以我什么也没说，结果把他弄掉了。

2009 Fall，我的面子加consultant告诉我，never make a move first，结果又掉了。

2010 Spring，我该不该move？

“于是我就变了，抓紧一切机会尽情去活，想做的事情立刻去做，想爱谁就马上去爱，因为说不定明天我会死，要是我不死，人家说不定也会死…. ”

在双城这个小地方，我是不是更应该抓紧机会，不要让他错过呢？

Sorry, I was globalizing again…

Girls like to do that, enlarge every difficulties, though they are not that tragic.

I think I’m too picky of making friends, but I don’t know what to do with it, because I just don’t like them, at all.

I dont like the bitch, I dont like the jerk, I don’t like those so-called friends, at all.

I do know many people, but I just cannot friend them, at all.

I miss you guys, hope you can be happy in the days I’m not there with you, and hope see you soon in the summer.

I love my life.

It is not that bad, except for some tragic dates, lol.
